What We Do
Envirosafe Services of Ohio (ESOI) provides specialized hazardous waste management services designed to protect people, property, and the environment. From waste profiling and secure handling to transportation and final disposal, our team manages every step with precision and care. Backed by the resources and expertise of Crystal Clean, we deliver disciplined, compliant solutions that help businesses operate safely and responsibly.
Envirosafe is a Hazardous Waste Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facility (TSDF) permitted by the Ohio EPA under a federal law called the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
ESOI is authorized to accept a wide range of hazardous and industrial waste materials generated by businesses and institutions. Examples may include spent solvents and cleaning fluids, waste paints and thinners, acids and caustics, contaminated absorbents, laboratory chemicals, certain manufacturing byproducts, and other regulated industrial wastes. Each shipment is carefully profiled and reviewed before acceptance to ensure it meets permit requirements and can be managed safely within the facility’s approved processes. All materials are handled in accordance with strict regulatory standards designed to protect workers, the community, and the environment.
Protecting the surrounding community is central to how ESOI operates. We live and raise their families here, too — so the standards we follow are personal as well as professional. From rigorous safety protocols and environmental controls to continuous monitoring and trained personnel, every aspect of our operation is designed to safeguard both our employees and our neighbors. We are committed to operating responsibly, communicating openly, and ensuring our presence contributes positively to the community we share.
Before a shipment ever arrives at our facility, we receive detailed documentation outlining exactly what materials it contains. Once it enters our site, our skilled technicians conduct extensive testing and inspection in our on-site laboratory to ensure it matches the documentation. If it does, the shipment proceeds. If it does not, the shipment is rejected.
If a hazardous waste spill were to occur on-site, ESOI follows a detailed, site-specific emergency response plan designed to contain and address the situation immediately. Trained personnel take swift action to secure the area, stop the source, and prevent any material from leaving the controlled environment. Our team is equipped with the tools, protective equipment, and procedures necessary to manage incidents safely and effectively. Appropriate regulatory agencies are notified, and all response activities are documented and reviewed to reinforce continuous improvement and accountability.
We maintain close ongoing contact with local emergency responders. In the unlikely event that an incident could impact the surrounding community, we would coordinate immediately with local emergency responders and public officials to ensure timely communication and appropriate protective measures.
We believe transparency strengthens trust. ESOI welcomes regulators, community leaders, and neighbors who want to better understand how our facility operates. By opening our doors and encouraging questions, we demonstrate our commitment to accountability, responsible operations, and being a constructive presence in the community we share.
We encourage anyone with questions or concerns to reach out to us directly, or to contact the Northwest District Office of the Ohio EPA.
